Fluoride tray
A tray custom-made in the workshop, to apply fluoride at home when the risk of decay warrants it.
When to consult
- You have had several cavities in a short time.
- Your mouth is dry, from a medication or a medical condition.
- You have many restorations, or an orthodontic appliance.
- You have had radiotherapy to the head or neck.
Good to know
The fluoride tray is added to brushing and interdental cleaning: it does not replace them.
How it works
- Assessment of your decay risk at the examination.
- Digital impression of the arches.
- Fabrication of the tray in the workshop.
- Try-in, and an explanation of the product, the duration and the frequency of application.
- Reassessment of the risk at follow-up, to adjust or stop.

How long does it need to be worn?
A few minutes per application, depending on the product prescribed. How long the programme lasts depends on how your risk evolves.
